Wallowa is one of the communities that make up the Grande Ronde River Basin.
Recreational activities include hiking, camping, fishing, snow skiing, and more. Located at the foot of the beautiful Wallowa Mountain Range, the town of Wallowa is a gateway to many of the hiking trails of the spectacular Eagle Cap Wilderness.
Wallowa is situated about 45 miles away from La Grande and about 40 miles west of the Hells Canyon National Recreation Area.
